DESCRIPTION

NIC-PT Color Powder Paint is a pre-colored blend of Portland cement, fine aggregate, polymer additive and Hydrated Lime with Metallic Oxide Pigments. It is used mainly as a colored finishing coat or decoration on every kind on wall, and can be applied manually and with the use of a spray gun. Moreover, depending on the method of application, different decorative result can be achieved. The colors and decorative results are provided to enhance the architectural and aesthetic appearance of building by matching, contrasting, or complimenting the building units.

NIC-PT COLOR POWDER PAINT APPLICATION

SURFACE PREPARATION

Surfaces should be free from dust, dirt, oil etc., should be smooth and stable, and should not be too dry or wet.

The substrate shall have certain surface strength, common evenness and verticality.

For hand applications the substrate should be dampened with clean potable water to control suction. Major cracks, holes, or voids should be repaired prior to application.

MIXTURE

25 kg of NIC-PT Color Powder Paint is mixed with 8.3 lt. (33%) of water for hand application.

25 kg of NIC-PT Color Powder Paint is mixed with 12.5 lt. (50%) of water for spray application.

It is recommended to use low cycled (350 r/min) electrical mixer in order to make the mortar homogeneous.

The mortar should be in a consistence and shape of water drop which will not flow when handled with a steel trowel.

The possibility of staining mortar should rest for 3 minutes prior to application and should be applied after remixing.

APPLICATION

Apply NIC-PT Color Powder Paint should be applied to an approximate thickness of 1/8" (3mm).

For hand application: Apply NIC-PT Color Powder Paint by trowel evenly to the substrate with enough pressure to insure tight contact. Immediately double back with a second coat prior to floating or texturing.

For spray application: Two coats are necessary. Apply the first coat over a dry surface to produce complete color coverage. When first coat has thoroughly dried (usually 2-4 hours), apply a second coat for texture depth and color uniformity.

l It is recommended to use protection agent once or twice on the surface in order to prevent fadedness, slurry-out, and pollution after the texture finish in 1~2 days.

PRECAUTIONS

Do not apply if ambient temperature will fall below 40° F (4° C) within 24 hours.

During periods of hot/dry weather moist curing may be necessary.

Variations such as thickness and composition of substrate, surface textures, inclement weather, mixing and application technique, or addition of field additives may impair color uniformity.

NIC-PT Color Powder Paint should not be exposed to water or rainwater for 24 hours after application.
